2023 Tournament Overview

LOCATION AND DETAILS

Tournament will be held at Anchor Bay Resort on Pigeon Lake, around the corner from Gannon's Narrows bridge which separates Buckhorn and Pigeon lakes.  See map below.

Boats will need to arrive at tournament area by water the morning of July 8, 2023, Consider Marina's and Resorts very close by such as Gannon's Narrow Marina ($20) or Elim Lodge (Public Launch). 

Bridgenorth Causeway (Public) is also a popular spot for tournament launching as is Dutch Marine (Public)


Anchor Bay Resort may be able to accommodate overnight camping pending the Covid situation.  There are Air BnBs and motels in the area. 

If unable to launch boat elsewhere, arrangements can be made to launch at Anchor Bay, but this will be limited, Shuttle service will be available to take you to and from your vehicle and trailer. Please contact Daniel at zlotyd2@gmail.com for launching information.


Boats should plan to arrive at between 5:45am and 6:00 am to the tournament bay to ensure sufficient time for check-in, boat package distribution and live well inspection. Please note you will be assigned your boat number in advance, so please proceed to that pontoon boat that will be marked for your number.


  1. Upon arrival, boats to proceed to one of two pontoons boats in bay (they will have flashing lights and have number display to direct you to the right boat based on your pre-assigned boat number) to have live wells inspected, receive their boat package with raffle numbers for prizes to be collected at end of tournament as you come in to weigh. Please ensure you have your registration form with your boat number and names printed on it at registration to receive your welcome kit.
  2. Blast off will start at 6:45am and we will release 20 boats every 2 minutes after.
  3. Upon return between 3:45 pm and 3:52 depending on your time slot, all boats will need to check in with Tournament Marshall on designated pontoon boat in Bay area as they return to avoid time penalty.
  4. Boats will proceed into channel on right side of markers to the weigh area.
  5. The first check point will be the food dock where we will provide food and beverage for each angler.
  6. You will then enter the weigh area where a mesh weigh bag will be provided to you to load your fish. NOTE: Please ensure you have your fish in the bag prior to docking at the weigh station - this will help speed up the weighing.
  7. All 5 bass (or less) at a minimum length of 12 inches (tip to tip) will then be placed into a weigh bag and handed to marshal to place in basket to record total fish weight.
  8. Big fish will then be selected by angler team and placed into weigh basket to record weight
  9. Anglers will be able to check their raffle numbers to see if they match a number on the RAPALA Prize Board on tournament stage and will receive the prize corresponding to that number.
  10. Boats will then move from the weigh station to photography area where you will have the option of a photo with your fish in front of stage.
  11. Boats then will exit on right side of channel and release their fish at the fish release point in the bay where a marshal will verify release of the fish based on the number weighed.
  12. Teams finishing in top 5 will be asked to return to stage to receive their prize. Teams finishing 6-15 will have their prize e-transferred if they do not wish to stay in the tournament area.
  13. Fish weight by team will be displayed digitally on stage using state of the art tournament scale and posted to the website following the tournament. 

Refreshments and food will be offered to all anglers compliments of our sponsors.  Sponsor giveaways will also be distributed to anglers.  Raffle draws will be held during the day to select the winning tickets where anglers can claim prizes upon their return later in the day if there assigned number matches those drawn.

All teams must be registered by no later than July 7, 2022 by 5pm.

Cancellations prior to 5pm July 6 will receive full refund. Cancellations after July 6 5pm will not receive a refund.
